Hamptons here I come

I was planning on posting about my new discovery of the wonderful Diet Thomas Kemper Rootbeer, and I still might, but it seems to be getting enough buzz on its own right now. See Dave's post.

Ever since Little J and I moved to the city almost 3 years ago, we have wanted to go to the Hamptons. The thing is, we don't want to pay any money doing it. Oh it can happen, especially with girls around our age. Last night I think I found our way in. I will share with you the story. Or script. A conversation really that happened to me and the 70 year-old who hit on me last night. Here goes:

Picture me waiting at the bar in my latest favorite cocktail dress, for my latest favorite non-alcholic drink, an orange/cranberry juice mix, when I hear, "You should try the Bellini's, they are wonderful." A 70, maybe 75, year-old man in a dark blue suit, botoxed, lips plumped, face lifted to the nines is what I see before me. Oh yes.

My response: "Oh really? Well thank you, but I actually don't drink alcohol so..."

"Oh? And why is that beautiful?"

Looking him straight in the eye and to scare him off the best way I knew how, I responded with a "I'm a Mormon."

"I LOVE Mormons! I just got back from Park City, what a wonderful people, what are you doing in the city, are you a model?"

"Oh, no, thank you, I work in the beauty advertising industry, my client is sponsoring this event."

"Oh I work in beauty too! I'm a cosmetic plastic surgeon...blady blady blah...
He ends up giving me his card, and invites me to his Hampton house in 2 weeks for a party. Ah HA! This is it. Ready little J? Let's go! It's TOTALLY free.

Jeez. I wish the 70-year-olds that hit on my invited me to do cool stuff. Mostly they just want me to make their email work.

This is so funny. You totally have to go. Although be sure to bring proper back-up.

BTW, if you don't end up going, we should all conspire to help you make your dream come true this spring.

Michelle---you have such a wildly crazy exciting life! You'll have to do a post on the party! And, way to be a missionary by the way. I had no idea you had a blog (well until right now that is..) I never check hotmail anymore.
